The summer festival season is here and i have picked my favourite festival clothing items! What festivals are you attending this season?
I went shopping this weekend and I came across some really nice items at Reiss. I shop there every now and then because the quality of the clothes is so much better than the likes of Topshop, River Island etc. When the sale is on Reiss tend to reduce everything to really good prices so it’s really worth keeping an eye out for the sales. I’m really into lace dresses and skirts lately so I thought this item would be ideal for all of you out there looking for a lace skirt.
This Lace Skirt is available at Reiss for only £55.
I’ m really excited about Christopher Kane’s show today at 12 30, as he is one of the most talented designers out there! Christopher Kane was born in 1982 in Glasgow Scotland, he studied with Giles Deacon and Russell Sage before setting up his own label. At the age of 27 he’s already established his name in the fashion industry and had worked with Donatella Versace which is quite an accomplishment for somebody so young. Christopher Kane won BFC British Collection of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2009. Don’t Kane’s 2010 catwalk show today at 12: 30. If you log on to the official website of London fashion week you can find out more information and stream the show live. Find out more information here.
I need to give it away to Lady Gaga this time as she stole the show at the Grammys this year. She changed her outfit 3 times and all three were amazingly weird and entertaining, because that’s what the Grammys are all about. Out of all the outfits i picked the Armani prive pictured below. Although Taylor Swift, J.Lo an loads of other celebrities turned up in amazing outfits you can’t really compete with lady gaga in this dress!!It’s just something else. The lobster shoes added even more edge to the entire look. I wonder what she’s going to get up to next?
I’m sure you have all seen all the American apparel adverts on blogs and major networks out there. Massive Blogs like the sartorialist and fashion toast include AA adverts every month. I had never heard of American Apparel until i saw those adverts a while ago, i also read that AA recently (4 years) ago broke into the mainstream as they were just a common clothing company. Personally i think they used a brilliant marketing strategy that basically consisted of advertising on multiple blogs to increase brand awareness. The images might be quite shocking and a little bit too much for people, however i believe that those explicit images and adverts actually worked miracles for them! They ‘ve grown so much over the last couple of years, starting new trends and engaging in the blogging community. The point is that the product is good, the quality is good and available at reasonable price. I also like the fact that AA haven’t outsourced all the production as they do everything in-house in LA, It claims to have the ‘highest earning apparel workers in the world’.
So what do you guys think?
Are American Apparel adverts too explicit?
I discovered her through Entourage( my favorite show) and since then i have been looking up information on her until i found out yesterday that shes was voted number 1 most desirable woman in the world! I absolutely love her style, shes always wears really nice outfits in Entourage. She’s made it clear that her favorite designer is ” Lotta Stenson” as shes worn her dresses quite a lot of times. Emmanuelle is also a big fan of YSL and Dolce & Gabbana.
